Training Modes & Device Control

Most device control commands require a background session — run voltra connect <DEVICE_ID> first. All device control commands require a persisted API key. When not connected, some commands will auto-scan, connect, execute, and disconnect.

Mode Switching

Supported training modes (device protocol TRAINING_MODE 20400):

  • weightTraining — constant, smooth resistance
  • resistanceBand — non-linear elastic band simulation
  • damper — velocity-based resistance
  • isokinetic — fixed-velocity mode
  • isometric — static hold mode
  • customCurve (Professional) — custom force profile
  • rowing / skiing — cardio mode (share write value 3, differentiated by activity parameter)

Isometric

Phase 1: switch to isometric mode → zero-position check → load power on. Test results (peak force / RFD / TPF / impulse) are determined by the device and pushed via notifications — the CLI does not currently subscribe to or read them back. View results on the device or in the app.

Power Control
